Palm Springs Doubles 2018 is a doubles only tournament for all divisions, open to men and women and provided by Desert Tennis Association, a member club of GLTA (  Again this year we have USTA National Divisions as part of our tournament for players entering Same Gender Married Couples divisions.  These are age divisions and are offered for same gender married couples or registered domestic partners of the same gender.  There are separate divisions for male and female couples and again, divisions are determined by combined age of the doubles couple.  Open divisions are for any age combination wishing to enter an all age division.  Top three teams in each division played will receive the coveted USTA Gold, Silver or Bronze Tennis Ball awards.  These divisions are reported on both the USTA site and the GLTA site.  Entry for these divisions is also available on both sites.  However if you wish to enter both the USTA national divisions and also a regular doubles division, regular doubles divisions are only available on the GLTA online entry.  There is a combined entry fee for players playing both divisions on the GLTA website.  PLAYERS MAY NOT ENTER TWO DIFFERENT REGULAR DOUBLES DIVISIONS.  Two event entries are only permitted if one is the appropriate USTA National division and one is regular doubles.  To enter USTA National Divisions you must provide your USTA number along with your entry, either an individual membership or family membership for both members of the team.

This is a two day tournament (March 3 & 4, 2018) playing at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage and possibly one additional site depending on entries.  Tournament amenities included with the entry fee include tennis matches, courts at world class facilities, trophy awards, tennis balls for matches, tournament shirts, player goodie bags, lunch one of the days, water on the courts, and our player welcome party Friday March 2, 2018 at a site yet to be determined.  First match non winners in all divisions are eligible for consolation doubles play.

In planning your desert visit, please keep in mind our tournament plays March 3 and 4 and the qualifying rounds of the Indian Wells professional event begin with free entry days Monday and Tuesday March 5 and 6 followed by 12 days of world class tennis tournament play featuring the very best of both the ATP and WTA professional tours with the BNP Tournament at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.    This is a great opportunity to attend one of the premier professional tennis events in  the world right here in the Palm Springs area.

Please email me at with any questions.  I hope to see you at the tournament and hope that you will support our community players in all divisions and participate in the USTA Same Gender divisions if they apply to you.  We are proud to have presented these divisions since the inception of these ground breaking divisions in conjunction with the USTA and were also the pilot tournament a few years back presenting the first USTA Same Gender Divisions on the national stage.
