Important Tournament Information

Players –
Thank you for selecting the Palm Springs Open as part of your 2022 GLTA tournament schedule. Our tournament committee is committed to providing our players with a great tournament experience on and off the court.

Please note the following important tournament information.

Player Program:

• The player program which has all the information you need for the tournament…. please read carefully and make an effort to support our sponsors and tournament events.

Draws:

• Draws will be posted on Wednesday morning.

Player Welcome Party:

• Hunters Nightclub in Palm Springs 7-9PM Thursday
  Tournament T-Shirts will be given out to all players that attend. Please note sizes are limited and we encourage everyone to attend to secure your PS Open T-Shirt.

Player Party Saturday November 26th:

Mission Hills Country Club 7-10PM main clubhouse
Bella da Ball our MC will kick off our party along with Keisha D singing her hits. We promise to keep the evening short so you can enjoy PS nightlife and continue the party at Chill Bar our main sponsor. Raffle and silent auction will take place as well with great prizes and items to bid on.

Chill Bar Palm Springs our main sponsor, Friday and Saturday late night party!

Match format:

• Singles and Doubles matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets through out the entire tournament with a super 10 point tie-breaker played in lieu of the 3rd set (First to 10 points by a margin of two). Consolation to the first match losers in singles only.

Consolations:

• Please check with the tournament desk for your consolations match time.

Sites:

• Please check in early at least 15 min before your match time and allow plenty of time to get to the courts. Water is available at all the sites please bring your water bottle to fill up along with plenty of sunscreen. No tank tops and sleeveless t-shirts allowed at all 3 sites.

Please note Steve Sax will not be at the tournament this year, however his hard work and countless hours working on this tournament is very much appreciated by many. If you have questions please contact the site directors. Their numbers are listed in the player program. Without our volunteers we would not be able to host over 270 players from all corners of the globe.
